Health Tips: Cholesterol has increased, start eating these things, veins will be cleaned and heart will also remain healthy


Cholesterol is a sticky substance produced by the liver. Cholesterol is necessary for digestion, vitamin D, formation of some hormones and formation of cell membranes. There are two types of cholesterol, good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. Low density lipoprotein (LDL) is called bad cholesterol. High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) is called good cholesterol. 


Increase in bad cholesterol in the body is a threat to health. Weight gain, persistent pain in legs, excessive sweating, change in skin color, chest pain and cramps can be symptoms of increased cholesterol. Bad diet, deteriorating lifestyle and genetic reasons are also responsible for increasing cholesterol.


Our diet directly affects cholesterol levels. Some foods increase cholesterol while some also control cholesterol. If some healthy changes are made in the diet then the cholesterol profile can be controlled.


According to experts in Ayurvedic and Unani medicines, if a healthy diet and healthy lifestyle is adopted to control bad cholesterol, then this problem can be easily solved. According to experts, cholesterol can be easily controlled by consuming some common foods.



Consume oats and barley


Oats contain beta-glucan, which is a type of soluble fiber. It helps in controlling cholesterol rapidly. Consumption of barley also works like soap in reducing bad cholesterol. It cleans the dirt present in the veins. It has been proven in many researches that beta glucan has a magical effect in clearing the dirt from the veins. You can consume oats and barley for breakfast.



Consume walnuts and almonds


To control bad cholesterol, consume walnuts and almonds. Both these dry fruits are rich in mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids which control cholesterol and improve heart health. Consumption of nuts controls cholesterol and maintains heart health. You can consume nuts in morning breakfast. Try to consume these nuts after soaking them in water.



Control cholesterol with green tea


Start the day with green tea. Green tea contains abundant amounts of antioxidants and catechins. It helps in reducing bad cholesterol present in the body. Consuming green tea keeps the heart healthy. You can consume two cups of green tea a day.



Consume garlic


Garlic contains a compound called allicin which helps in reducing bad cholesterol. Consuming it reduces the risk of heart diseases. Regular consumption of garlic increases heart protection. Consuming two to three buds a day is useful for health.



Consume beans


Legumes include beans, pulses, gram and peas. These beans are rich in protein, fiber and minerals. Consuming these keeps cholesterol level under control. If you want to control cholesterol, then consume pulses, kidney beans and chickpeas in your diet.
