There are grand Hindu temples not only in Abu Dhabi but also in these Muslim countries, know more about them

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a grand Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The temple which was inaugurated by PM Modi has been in the news for a long time. The grand temple has been built by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha on a 27-acre site in Abu Mreikhah, near Al Rahba off the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway, at a cost of around Rs 700 crore. This temple has been built on the lines of Ram temple built in Ayodhya.


Not only in UAE but there are big temples built in many Muslim countries. In these countries the temples are maintained just like we do in India. Let us know how many other Muslim countries there are where there are big Hindu temples.



Pakistan


The condition of temples in Pakistan is not good, but there are some temples which enhance the beauty of Pakistan. Katas Raj Temple of Lord Shiva is built on a hill 280 kilometers away from Lahore. The history of this temple is five thousand years old. This temple is mentioned in Mahabharata.


Shri Katas Raj Temples, also known as Qila Katas is a complex of several Hindu temples connected to one another by walkways. The temple complex surrounds a pond named Katas which is regarded as sacred by Hindus. The complex is located in the Potohar Plateau region of Pakistan's Punjab province. The temples' pond is said in the Puranas to have been created from the teardrops of Shiva, after he wandered the Earth inconsolable after the death of his wife Sati.



Bangladesh


Dhakeshwari Hindu Temple is the largest temple in Bangladesh. Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is named after the Dhakeshwari Temple. It is said that this temple was built in the 12th century. A large number of devotees from India and abroad come to visit this temple. It is considered to be the oldest Hindu temple in Bangladesh. Apart from this, there is also a Kali temple here, which is quite famous.


Dhakeshwari National Temple is state-owned, giving it the distinction of being Bangladesh's 'National Temple'. The name "Dhakeshwari" means "Goddess of Dhaka". The Dhakeshwari Temple has assumed status as the most important Hindu place of worship in Bangladesh. It is also the largest Hindu temple in Bangladesh. This temple is part of the famous Shakti Peethas in Indian Subcontinent. Here the gem of Sati's crown had fallen.



Malaysia


A large number of Muslims live in Malaysia, but there is also a Murugan temple here. Here is the largest 43 feet high statue of Lord Murugan, which is the center of attraction and faith among the people. Also, a festival is celebrated on the birthday of Lord Murugan. People of Tamil community also live among the Muslim population in this country.



Bahrain


There is a temple of Lord Shri Krishna in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. This temple of Lord Shri Krishna is the oldest Hindu temple in Bahrain. This statue of Shri Krishna was built in 1937.


Oman


The approximately 109 year old Lord Shankar temple is located in Muscat, the capital of Oman. This temple of Oman is famous by the name of Motishwar Temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had come to this temple to have darshan of Lord Shiva. Apart from this, there is also a temple and Gurudwara of Lord Shri Krishna in Muscat.
