Elon Musk, owner of electric car manufacturing company Tesla and rocket launch vehicle manufacturing company SpaceX, has said that he is going to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He gave this information in a post on social media X. He wrote, "I am eager to meet the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi."
However, Musk has not given any information regarding when will the meeting take place and whether it will take place in India or somewhere else?
News agency Reuters, quoting sources, has reported that Musk can make an important announcement regarding factories and investment in India.
The agency says that on April 22, Musk can meet PM Modi in Delhi, while apart from this, he can also make important announcements regarding investment in India during his visit.
Reuters writes that the last meeting of Elon Musk and Modi was in New York in June 2023.
Earlier, Musk had said that he wants to build a factory in India, while he has been asking the Indian government to reduce the import duty on electric cars.
This month, India has made its new electronic vehicle policy. According to this new policy, the import duty on some models could be reduced from 100 percent to 15 percent, provided the company invests Rs 50 crore in India and also sets up a factory here.
After this, it is now being speculated that in the meeting of Modi and Musk, there can be talks of taking it further.
