Patanjali Product Ban: Almost every household in the country uses Baba Ramdev's Patanjali products. Now, Patanjali's Divya Pharmacy company has suffered a major blow.
It's bad news for those who use Patanjali products. The licensing authority of Uttarakhand government has imposed a ban on 14 products of the company.
These include various tablets, including cough medicine from Divya Pharmacy.
Manufacturing license of 14 Patanjali products has been suspended with immediate effect.
Supreme Court scolded Patanjali in misleading advertisement case
The ban has been imposed in connection with misleading advertisements of Divya Pharmacy's medicines.
After the rebuke from the Supreme Court, the Uttarakhand government has taken a major step against Patanjali in the case of misleading advertisements of Ayurvedic products.
Information about this has been submitted to the Supreme Court by the Uttarakhand government on Monday evening through an affidavit.
Ban on production of 14 medicines
Divya Pharmacy manufactures Baba Ramdev's Patanjali products. Now the state's licensing authority has ordered a ban on the use of Baba Ramdev's products for cough, blood pressure, sugar, liver, goiter, and eye drop.
Recently, the Supreme Court had asked Patanjali to apologize in the case of misleading advertisements.
Actually, in its ad, Patanjali claimed that serious illnesses like sugar, high blood pressure, thyroid, liver cirrhosis, arthritis, and asthma are cured by their medicines, but a team of doctors declared it false, which led to this major action.
