BJP has issued a show cause notice to former Union Minister Jayant Sinha for not casting his vote during the voting for Hazaribagh parliamentary seat in Jharkhand on May 20 and not helping the authorized candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Jharkhand BJP General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu has sent a letter regarding this and asked Jayant Sinha to give an explanation within 2 days.
MP Aditya Sahu has written in the letter, “Ever since the party has declared Manish Jaiswal as its candidate from Hazaribagh Lok Sabha seat in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, you are neither taking interest in election campaigning nor in organizational work. Despite this, you did not consider it appropriate to exercise your right to vote in this great festival of democracy. This attitude of yours has tarnished the image of the party.”
“As per the instructions of State President of BJP Babulal Marandi, you are requested to give your clarification in this regard within 2 days.”
Jayant Sinha is the current MP of Hazaribagh
Jayant Sinha is the current MP of Hazaribagh. He has been a minister in Narendra Modi's government but BJP did not give him ticket in this election. Jayant Sinha did not come to vote during the voting for this seat on 20th May.
However, his father and former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha had come to vote with his wife.
Jayant Sinha has not yet made any public comment on this notice. His son Ashir Sinha had recently joined Congress. Yashwant Sinha is already supporting the candidate of India Alliance.
Notice to an MLA also
Similar notice has also been given to Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha. Aditya Sahu has issued a show cause notice to MLA Raj Sinha and five divisional presidents of Dhanbad district BJP, asking why they are not helping the authorized candidate of BJP.
