MP Lok Sabha Election-2024: Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari is in trouble for his controversial statement about BJP leader Imarti Devi. On one hand, BJP leaders are cornering the entire Congress including Jitu Patwari. On the other hand, BJP workers are protesting against Patwari.

BJP workers showed black flags to Jitu Patwari who reached Betul, the situation became such that BJP and Congress workers clashed with each other, who were separated by the police. On the other hand, Patwari has made a big claim about the victory of Congress in Madhya Pradesh.

A day earlier, PCC Chief Jitu Patwari had said about Imarti Devi, 'Look, it is like this, now the juice of Imarti ji has ended, now I have nothing to do with her.'

Patwari apologizes but Imarti adamant on lodging FIR

PCC Chief Jitu Patwari has given clarification regarding the statement given regarding Imarti Devi. He said, "One of my statements is being distorted and presented in the wrong context. My intention was only to avoid the answer to the question. Imarti ji is like my elder sister and elder sister is like a mother. If still if anyone has been hurt, I apologize."

However, Imarti has said she would lodge an FIR against Patwari.

Cong will win 15 seats: Jitu

State President Jitu Patwari addressed a poll rally at Ghodadongri in Betul in support of Congress candidate Ramu Tekam. Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi here, Jitu Patwari said, "Modi's guarantee turned out to be a product of China. Neither inflation nor unemployment has reduced.”

While talking to journalists in Betul, Patwari claimed, "Congress will get 15 seats in Madhya Pradesh." He further said, "Congress is fighting these elections to save the Constitution, while BJP is fighting the elections to overturn the Constitution.

BJP workers showed black flags

After the statement given on Imarti Devi, BJP is on front foot and attacking Jitu Patwari. As soon as Jitu Patwari's convoy left after the end of the election meeting, BJP workers showed black flags and raised slogans and protested at Durga Chowk in Ghoradongri.

The police said, "No complaint has been received so far regarding the showing of black flags. As soon as the complaint is received, the police will investigate it and take action.”

Such a poor statement: Scindia

On the statement given by Jitu Patwari regarding Imarti Devi, Scindia has said, such a tasteless statement by the state president of Congress shows his mentality towards the women which has fallen to such a low level. The women of the state will give a befitting reply to Congress in the coming days.
