Punjab Lok Sabha Election 2024: What did Kejriwal say on Amit Shah's claim of Punjab government falling after polls?

Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party convener, has responded to Amit Shah's assertion about the potential downfall of the Punjab government after Lok sabha elections-2024. During a rally in Ludhiana, Amit Shah claimed that 'after BJP's victory in the Lok Sabha elections, Bhagwant Mann's government is not going to last long.'

Arvind Kejriwal said, “People want to ask Amit Shah that Aam Aadmi Party has 92 out of 117 MLAs. BJP has only three MLAs. How will you topple the government?”

'You will scare the people of Punjab by sending ED, CBI'

“You will scare the people of Punjab by sending ED. Will you scare people by sending CBI or will you buy off the people of Punjab? How much money do you have? How much money will you give to the people of Punjab?

Arvind Kejriwal said, “Stop threatening the people of Punjab like this. The BJP's aim is to stop the free electricity being provided to the people of Punjab. Such threats are given in Delhi also."

"I want to tell him... do not threaten the people of Punjab. Otherwise, they will make it difficult for you to enter Punjab," the Delhi chief minister added.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann slammed Shah over his remarks and said, "Do you have the courage to topple the government? We have 92 seats. They are threatening us. Are you coming (here) to seek votes or threaten to topple the government?"

'PM keeps mum on issues of unemployment and inflation'

In Amritsar, Kejriwal lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of keeping mum on the issues of unemployment and inflation.

"He (Modi) has been saying that the I.N.D.I.A. bloc will snatch (people's) buffaloes and 'mangalsutras',"mKejriwal said and asked the prime minister to speak about people's problems.

"He does not have solutions to people's problems. It seems he is living in another world," the Delhi chief minister said.

During a rally in Ludhiana, Amit Shah said, “I tell you that after the victory of BJP, this government of Bhagwant Mann is not going to last long.”
