UP Lok Sabha Election 2024: While addressing an election rally in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the opposition alliance 'India' as communal and casteist.
He said, “The country has come to know the people of Indi alliance very well. These people are extremely communal. These people are extreme casteists. These people are extreme familyists. Whenever their government is formed, they take decisions based on this only.”
PM Modi said, “Now see elections were held here. There are so many promising people of our Yadav community, but they gave tickets only to their own family members and not even to anyone from outside.”
He said, “The nation has endured bomb blasts for several decades, resulting in the loss of countless lives. During the Samajwadi Party's governance, law and order were neglected. People associated with the party were known to release apprehended terrorists. Police officers who stood against this were often suspended by the Samajwadi Party government, questioning their actions in apprehending terrorists."
Purvanchal region turned into a haven for mafia
PM Modi said, "The opposition tarnished Mirzapur's reputation, turning the entire Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh into a haven for the mafia. Under the SP government, the mafia operated with impunity, sometimes even for political gain. However, the current situation is different. Our Yogi ji and his administration are resolutely advancing the cleanliness campaign, ensuring ongoing improvements in the region."
He said, “Earlier the public used to tremble during the SP government. Now the mafia is trembling under the BJP government.”
