Even though black wheat production is 10 to 20 percent lower than regular wheat, farmers can fetch three to four times the price for black wheat. Black wheat is typically sold in the market at around 7,000 to 8,000 rupees per quintal, while normal wheat is priced at 2,500 rupees per quintal.
