The seven-day International Herbal Fair (Van Mela) is starting from 17 December in Bhopal. The International Herbal Fair, which will run till 23 December, is being organized by the Forest Department of Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh State Minor Forest Produce Co-operative Federation .Ltd.
This time the theme of the International Herbal Fair is Women Empowerment through Minor Forest Produce. Medicines and other various products manufactured by various herbal product manufacturers will be sold and exhibited. Along with this, free medical consultation will also be provided.
As the name suggests, participants from Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Malaysia as well as many states of the country like Bihar, Assam, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Chhattisgarh will participate in the International Herbal Fair. Many stalls of rare herbs collected from various districts are being set up in the fair. Collectors of forest produce committees of villages of remote areas will display various types of herbs and forest medicines.
Physicians will give free medical consultation
Patients will also be provided free consultation from renowned physicians. The forest produce committees of the states are bringing their medicines to the fair.
