Jewar International Airport Noida: The first trial run took place on Monday at Jewar International Airport in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. A video of the trial run has also surfaced. The plane can be seen running on the runway. According to Jewar International Airport Limited (NIAL), the commercial inauguration of Jewar airport is to be done in April 2025. Whereas, the trial run will continue till December 15.
PM Modi laid the foundation
The foundation stone of Jewar International Airport in Noida was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2021. The construction of 3.9 km long and 60 meter wide runway has been completed here. Other works will be completed by March. Commercial flights will be started here from April 2025.
People of UP will also benefit
Actually, Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport is more crowded. To reduce the traffic pressure here, the Modi government is constructing Jewar Airport in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of UP. This will facilitate air service in the National Capital Region (NCR). The people of UP will also benefit.
Airport is equipped with state-of-the-art technology
Jewar International Airport in Noida is being developed on a sprawling 1,334 acres of land. Once completed, it is set to become the largest aviation hub in India and potentially in Asia.
The airport is being constructed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL). It aims to enhance connectivity and foster economic growth and tourism in the region.
The airport is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including systems that monitor aircraft altitude and visibility in foggy conditions. Additionally, an Instrument Landing System and 360 AR technology have been incorporated to improve operational efficiency.
