Chairperson Delhi Women Commission Swati Maliwal Divorced

Swati Maliwal, chairperson of the Delhi Women's Commission who has been fighting against the atrocities on women, has divorced her husband Naveen Jaihind.  

She herself has given information about this through Twitter.  She has told through a tweet that she has divorced from her husband Naveen.  She has added that sometimes good people cannot live together.  I will always remember the moment I spent with Naveen.

Swati Maliwal is the chairperson of the Delhi Women's Commission.  She was appointed in 2015 after the Aam Aadmi Party came to power in Delhi.  Earlier Swati Maliwal was a social worker, she has always raised her voice for women.  In 2018, she was on a hunger strike for ten days for atrocities against women.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
