US Department Releases $54 Million In Humanitarian Assistance For Ukraine

According to the US Department we are focused on Ukraine’s urgent humanitarian needs as an important part of our response to Russia’s premeditated, unprovoked, and unjustified attack. As per reports this was said by US Department of State for Russia Ukraine Crisis. As per sources the Department further added that it is with welfare of ordinary Ukrainians in mind that we are announcing provision of nearly $54 mn in humanitarian assistance to those affected by Russia’s further invasion. This includes nearly $26 mn from Department of State and $28 mn from US Agency for International Development according to US Dept of State.

According to reports coming in the fifth Operation Ganga flight, carrying 249 Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine, departed from Bucharest (Romania) reaches Delhi airport. As per reports by one of the student being brought back by the while speaking to ANI has said that Government has helped us a lot.  All possible support was provided by the Indian Embassy. The main problem is crossing the border. I hope all Indians are brought back.  There are several more Indians still stranded in Ukraine said the students who arrived to Delhi from Ukraine.

According to the reports Govt of India and Embassy of India working to establish evacuation routes from Romania and Hungary.  At present, teams are getting in place at CHOP-ZAHONY Hungarian border near Uzhhorod, PORUBNE-SIRET Romanian Border near Chernivtsi according to sources of Indian Embassy in Hungary. Indian nationals, especially students living closest to the above border checkpoints are being advised to depart first in an organised manner in coordination with team from MEA to actualise this option as per Indian Embassy in Hungary.

These students have arrived Karnataka earlier today. As per sources today 12 people from Mumbai have arrived and 18 more from Delhi will arrive.  State Revenue Department arranged everything at Karnataka Bhawan. 6 Members Of ITBP Team Scale Down Mount Karzok Kangri In Ladakh

According to reports coming in from Ladakh where Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) central mountaineering team scaled Mount Karzok Kangri in Ladakh on 20th February. They have done this big achievement in extreme weather conditions where the minimum temperature is -40 degrees celsius these days.  According to reports this was the first-ever ascent to Mount Karzok Kangri.  The team of 6 mountaineers of the ITBP led by the mountaineer Commandant Ratan Singh Sonal scaled the 20,177 feet high peak located in Ladakh.  Deputy Commandant Anoop Negi was the Deputy leader of the group. The team did not use any special mountaineering equipment and support system.
