PM Narendra Modi Responds To Mallikarjun Kharge's Ravana Statement: ‘The More Mud Is Thrown, The More The Lotus Will Bloom’

Ahmedabad: In Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday responded to Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge's statement on Ravana. Modi is holding a rally in Kalol, Panchmahal, Gujarat. During this, he said – There is a competition in the Congress to abuse me. The more mud is thrown, the more the lotus will bloom.

It is worth mentioning that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had compared PM Modi to Ravana during a public meeting in Surat.

Some call me Ravana, some demon, some cockroach- PM

The Prime Minister said, "The Congress does not believe in the existence of Lord Ram and the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya. These people even oppose the Ram Setu. But to abuse me, they do mention Ravana, the character of Ramayana.

Modi said a few days back, a Congress leader said that Modi will die the death of a dog. Another had said that Modi would die Hitler's death. Another one was saying - If I get a chance, I will kill Modi myself... Some say Ravana, some say demon, some say cockroach."

Their allegiance is towards a family

In an apparent jibe at the Gandhi family, Modi said Congress leaders are abusing him because their allegiance is towards a family, not India's democracy.

"For them, that family is everything. They will do anything to make the family happy. There is a competition among Congress leaders as to who will use the most abusive and most toxic slurs for Modi," he said.
