New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has said that 80 per cent of the party's leadership including Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been arrested by the police. He said it is like the Emergency in the country.
80% of AAP leadership arrested
Senior AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj told reporters today that his party has been telling since yesterday that not only Manish Sisodia but 80 per cent of the leadership has been arrested by the police. The central government is saying that they have been detained whereas the detention is for one or two hours but now it will be 24 hours for the leaders to be arrested.
If someone has been arrested for so long, then it is illegal. By now, he should have been presented in the court and told under which sections and for what reason you have arrested the AAP leaders.
CBI telling same stale story since May 2022
He said that the arrest of Sisodia is the same stale story which the CBI has been telling since May 2022. In such a situation, what was the need to arrest him suddenly? Was he running away from the country? Was he destroying any evidence? He had a chance for the last eight months, when he did not do it then why would he do it now? No new evidence has been found against Sisodia. All the files and notings are with the CBI.

The AAP leader said that it is being said that corruption has taken place in the excise policy that was made. Everyone knows that this policy was approved by the then Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. Why hasn't Anil Baijal been questioned yet? Just a bundle of lies. There is no evidence against Manish Sisodia. The central government is torturing the Aam Aadmi Party. The public is watching all this.
