Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Announced Shri Parshuram Lok Will Be Built At Janapav, How Much Do You Know About This Place


BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Shri Parshuram Lok will be constructed at Janapav, the birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Parshuram, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu.


CM Shivraj was addressing the Akshayaotsav-2023 on Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti in the company of Swami Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Maharaj of Bageshwar Dham at the Bhopal's Gufa Mandir Complex.


Janapav also known as Janapav Kuti is a mountain at altitude of 854m from sea level and highest peak of Vindhayanchal range. It is a famous tourist place located on Indore-Mumbai highway, near the village of Janapav Kuti in Indore's Mhow Tehsil. It is 45 kilometers from Indore.  The mountain is surrounded by dense forests.



Janapav is quite popular among trekkers 


Janapav is a pocket of nature whose air will not only cleanse your lungs but also leave you spiritually soothed. The place is quite popular among trekkers for its scenic beauty and adventurous routes. 


The place is also famous for a fair that is held there every year on Kartik Purnima which is the first full moon after Diwali.



Flora of this region is known for its unique Ayurvedic herbs


At the top of the hill, there is an ashram of Jamadagni, the father of Parshuram. His mother Renuka was a renowned medical practitioner and had then grown a variety of herbs on the hill and its surroundings. Indeed the flora of this region is known for its unique Ayurvedic potencies and is accordingly harvested by expert Ayurveda practitioners. 


The place is well connected and transport is available to visit Janapav from Indore and Mhow. Popular for its scenic beauty, Janapav is also a popular trekking and cycling destination. Good connectivity with Indore helps in keeping a great influx of tourists.


CM Shivraj also announced  that a huge building will be constructed in Bhopal's famous Gufa Mandir premises for the convenience of the devotees. He said  arrangements have been made to include life-sketch of Bhagwan Shri Parshuram in the syllabus of class 8th in the state, to give scholarship to the students studying Sanskrit and rituals and to give honorarium to the priests.
