Madhya Pradesh: Congress Alleges Scam In Ujjain Mahakal Lok Construction, Threatens To File FIR

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress is preparing to file an FIR against the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the officials concerned in the matter of broken idols in Mahakal Lok a day ago. Before this, a Congress team reached Ujjain.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee's media department chairman KK Mishra told media at the state party office on Monday that after winds blowing at a speed of only 30 kilometers per hour in Mahakal Lok, 6 idols of Saprishis ensconced in a lotus flower fell to pieces.

Describing the incident as inauspicious, he said that on Tuesday, May 30, the investigation committee announced by State Congress Committee President Kamal Nath, whose members are Sajjan Singh Verma, Ramlal Malviya, Mahesh Parmar, Murli Morwal, Dilip Gurjar, Shobha Ojha and K K Mishra, will reach the spot, inspect and, if necessary, will not hesitate to register an FIR against the responsible corrupt officials including the Chief Minister.

Mishra said that if Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is taking the credit for the reconstruction of Mahakal Lok, then he should also take responsibility for the corruption. Mishra has wanted answers to many questions from the government regarding the scams and irregularities in the entire project.

 Congress raised these questions

1- Under the Motor Vehicle Act, when the speed of 40 kilometers per hour is considered safe for the driver and passengers, then how the Devdurlabh idols were broken by the winds of only 30 kilometers per hour.

2-Are fiber reinforced force plastic idols religious in Hindu theology, or idols made of stones or marble? If not, then why did the so-called contractors of Hinduism allow plastic idols, calling the theology a hoax?

3- Which companies were given tenders for the entire construction of Mahakal Lok, how and under whose pressure only Gujarat companies were selected for idol making and other works, is there no qualified architect and sculptor in self-reliant Madhya Pradesh?

4-Gujarat's idol manufacturing company saying in its defense that the mild steel joint inside the idol must have become weak, is it credible, or is it an admission of corruption?

5- Regarding this incident, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's statement that Congress is doing politics on this issue, is it justified? It would have been better if the Chief Minister would have convinced the religious people by taking strict action against the corrupt and responsible officials after an honest probe. By not doing so, have they given clear protection to corrupt officials by standing with them ?
