Dawood Ibrahim in hospital after being poisoned? Internet server down in Pakistan; Mumbai Police also trying to get information

Dawood Ibrahim, the notorious underworld figure linked to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has allegedly been admitted to a hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, amidst rumors of poisoning. Reports indicate that the mastermind behind the Mumbai bombings is currently under tight security in the hospital. Despite being reportedly hospitalized two days ago, Pakistani officials have not provided any official confirmation on the matter.

It is disclosed that Dawood Ibrahim is the sole occupant of the hospital floor where he is receiving medical attention. Access to this floor is restricted to senior hospital authorities and Dawood's immediate family members.

While Indian authorities have consistently claimed that Dawood Ibrahim resides in Karachi's upscale Clifton area, Pakistan has persistently denied providing shelter to the wanted underworld figure, refuting any presence of him in their country.

In January 2023, Dawood Ibrahim's nephew, Alishah Parkar, informed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) that Dawood had remarried in Pakistan and was residing with his family in Karachi. Alishah Parkar revealed details about Dawood's second wife, Maizabin, and their children, including three daughters and one son.

Was declared a global terrorist

Dawood Ibrahim, identified as the mastermind behind the 1993 Mumbai bombings that claimed over 250 lives and left thousands injured, was declared a "global terrorist" by the governments of India and the US in 2003.

The infamous D-Company led by Dawood Ibrahim reportedly established a special unit aimed at instilling terror in India by targeting prominent figures, including political leaders and businesspersons, according to statements from the NIA.

Dawood controls various illicit activities in Mumbai

The 10th edition of the Global Terrorism Index (GIT) highlighted that Dawood Ibrahim and his criminal organization maintain control over various illicit activities in Mumbai, such as drug trafficking, arms trade, and counterfeiting. Additionally, the report noted close ties between the D-Company and global terrorist groups, including Al-Qaeda.

Servers down in big cities of Pakistan

At the same time, the stir has intensified after the news of poisoning of Dawood in Pakistan. There is news of internet server down in Pakistan. Servers are also down in big cities Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad. Apart from this, social media platforms are also not working. It is being claimed that the internet speed has been slowed down since 8 pm last night. However, no information was given by Pakistan Government or Pakistan Telecommunication Department regarding this.

There is no confirmation yet about poisoning. However, it is being told that Mumbai Police officials are also trying to get more information about this from Dawood’s close relatives (nephews Alisha Parkar and Sajid Wagle).

Geo TV News also cited these ongoing discussions on social media and said that rumors are spreading about underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who has reportedly been admitted to a hospital in Karachi, Pakistan after a serious medical condition. In unconfirmed reports, the cause is said to be poison. The 65-year-old fugitive has been living in Karachi for several years, evading law enforcement agencies around the world.
