A Palestinian cameraman of Qatar's television group 'Al Jazeera' was killed on Friday in an Israeli attack, while its chief Gaza correspondent was injured.

When the attack took place, both of them were reporting about an Israeli attack on a school in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.

According to Al Jazeera, the incident occurred due to another drone strike while the two were reporting on the Israeli attack on the school.

3 Israeli hostages mistakenly killed

Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) mistakenly killed three hostages, Yotam Haim and Samar Talalka identified, while the third remains unnamed at the request of the family, after mistakenly identifying them as 'threats'.

According to IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari, the tragic incident occurred in an area with a history of encounters with terrorists, including suicide bombers. The IDF takes responsibility for the event. When asked about the escape from Hamas captivity, Hagari stated that the military believes the hostages either fled or were abandoned by the terrorists.

After the shooting, the victims' bodies were quickly transferred for examination in Israel, where they were identified. The IDF acknowledged the sorrowful and regrettable nature of the event, emphasizing its responsibility for the incident.
