Madhya Pradesh: Shivpuri girl Swasti Mehul Jain mesmerizes PM Modi with her bhajan on Lord Ram


Bhopal: On Friday night, Prime Minister Modi shared a bhajan video by Swasti Mehul Jain, a singer from Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, titled "Mere Ram Aayenge" on his X handle. Praising the bhajan, the Prime Minister remarked that once you listen to Swasti Ji's hymn, its resonance lingers in your ears.


In the caption accompanying the video, Modi expressed, "If you listen to this bhajan by Swasti Ji, it will resonate in your ears for a long time. This soulful rendition has the power to evoke myriad emotions and bring tears to your eyes."


Swasti hails from MP's Shivpuri


Swasti Mehul, residing in Mahal Colony in Shivpuri district, had previously garnered attention for releasing a 'Corona Awareness' song on social media.


This time, she received praise for her bhajan dedicated to the upcoming Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration ceremony, scheduled in two weeks. Preparations for the grand event are underway nationwide, with the Prime Minister set to participate as the chief guest. Meanwhile, PM Modi has shared Shivpuri's Swasti Mehul's Ram Bhajan on his X handle, expressing his appreciation.


Started singing from childhood


Swasti Mehul, a 27-year-old daughter of businessman Arvid Jain, hails from Shivpuri and currently resides in Delhi. Her musical journey began in childhood, drawing inspiration from her brothers.


Commencing with bhajans, she ventured into classical music in 2018 under the tutelage of Mita Pandit from the Gwalior Gharana. Swasti is also adept at playing the guitar and piano, enjoying popularity on various social media platforms.
