Following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Kalpana Soren, wife of FORMER Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, reached out to Sunita Kejriwal to offer support and solidarity. Terming the arrests of her husband and Arvind Kejriwal as illegal, Kalpana Soren asserted that INDIA would not succumb to such actions.
In a social media post on platform X, Kalpana Soren expressed her concerns over the arrests, particularly during the ongoing general election season. She emphasized that the arrests of democratically elected leaders were abnormal in a democratic nation.
Kalpana Soren assured Sunita Kejriwal of solidarity and support, stating, "Just talked to Arvind Kejriwal ji's wife Sunita Kejriwal ji and tried to give her courage. As a friend, I can understand her problems."
She further rallied behind Arvind Kejriwal, affirming that the entire state of Jharkhand stands with him under the leadership of Hemant Soren.
Atishi raises concerns over sealing of party's office
Meanwhile, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi raised concerns over the sealing of the party's office in Delhi. Atishi questioned the legality of such actions during the Lok Sabha elections, arguing that it contradicted the constitutional principle of ensuring a fair and level playing field. She announced the party's intention to raise the issue with the Election Commission.
Delhi minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the central government of restricting access to the party office, further fueling concerns about political interference.
