Madhya Pradesh: Tourists flock to catch a glimpse of majestic cheetahs at Kuno

Sheopur: As sightings of cheetahs in the wild increase at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district, tourists are eagerly flocking to catch a glimpse.

Recently, visitors were delighted to spot Pawan, one of the cheetahs residing in Kuno. Since the park's gates opened last October, throngs of tourists have been arriving on weekends, hoping for a chance encounter with these magnificent creatures.

Park management has ensured ample facilities for visitors, including designated time slots for morning and evening excursions into Kuno Park. Ravi, a local tourist, expressed his joy, stating, "I feel fortunate to have seen Pawan here. The park provides excellent amenities, including Gypsy safaris and forest camps, along with water and restroom facilities at the entrance."

Uttam Kumar Sharma, Chief Conservator of Forests at Kuno National Park, emphasized their commitment to enhancing the tourist experience.

"We strive to provide comprehensive facilities, including restroom facilities, at Kuno National Park. With three tourist gates—Ahera, Tiktoli, and Bawadi—tourists can explore the park during designated time slots in the morning and evening, ensuring a comfortable visit, especially during peak heat hours," Sharma informed the media.
