Prime Minister Narendra Modi Proposes Measures For Cyclone Yaas Hit Areas

Latest reports have been coming in from Prime Minister Office which has informed that today PM Narendra Modi visited Odisha and West Bengal to review the situation arising out of CycloneYaas.  According to reports Prime Minister Modi undertook an aerial survey of the cyclone-affected areas in Bhadrak and Baleswar districts of Odisha, and Purba Medinipur in West Bengal. In Bhubaneswar, the PM chaired a meeting to review the relief and rehabilitation measures being undertaken.  The Prime Minister was briefed that maximum damage due to Cyclone Yaas happened in Odisha, and some parts of West Bengal and Jharkhand have also been affected according to PMO. He announced financial assistance of Rs 1000 cr for immediate relief activities. Court unaccepted state's demand of clarification on SOPs as reported by Pakistan Refugee Counsel, Sajjan Singh to ANI. According to sources the court has learned that SOP is itself a detailed document according to which all individuals who don't have any ID proof are eligible (for vaccination). Pakistan Refugee Counsel, Sajjan Singh further stated that the Pakistan refugees also don't have any ID proof for (vaccine) registration.

As per reports Cyclone Yaas dissipation and its after-effects will be bringing light to moderate rainfall in state for next 48 hours.  Alert has been issued for some isolated areas which may witness heavy rainfall as per Patna Meteorological centre's Director Vivek Sinha. As reported earlier from West Bengal where several houses and shops were washed away under the impact of Cyclone Yaas at a village in Purba Medinipur.  A local while speaking to ANI has said that, "It has caused us heavy losses, all our house belongings are damaged. There has not been any help from the administration yet."

Cyclone Yaas Landfall With Massive Wind Speed

Latest reports have incoming and from Indian Meteorological Department which confirmed that today cyclone Yaas landfall in the coastal regions of India. According to sources from IMD Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha & West Bengal were much-affected places due to Cyclone Yaas. It will have impact on Jharkhand today and tomorrow.  Odisha recorded highest rainfall and sea waves of 2-4 m high were recorded in North Odisha & adjoining districts of West Bengal according to IMD DG, Mrutyunjay Mohapatra.  We recorded huge rainfall in Yaas cyclone. Storm surge of 2-4m is estimated in Midnapore, Balasore and Badhrak dists.  In Gulf of Khambhat starting from Diu 3-4m high Storm surge is predicted. The track length of Tautae was 1800km while cyclone Yaas' track length is 1000 km as per IMD DG.

Haryana Health Department Improved Vaccine Wastage Tremendously

Latest reports have been coming in from Haryana where state government has released the data for the wastage of covid vaccination. As per reports coming in data released by the Centre showed Haryana had a 6% vaccine wastage percentage of Covieshield & 10.2% wastage of Covaxin.  Thereafter, Health Department swung into action, identified data mismatch and corrected it (Covishield wastage - 3.1% and Covaxin wastage - 2.4%) as per Haryana State government. Haryana Health Department improved vaccine wastage data from 6%, as per data recently released by Central govt, to 2-3%.  Vaccine wastage percentage was relatively higher in the data released by the Centre as there was data mismatch and the districts have rectified it as per Haryana State Government.

Man Assaulted By BBMP Officials

The incident has occurred after the man mistook a queue for COVID19 testing to be that for vaccination. He was allegedly assaulted when he refused to undergo the test. FIR has been registered under multiple sections of IPC. According to BBMP Commisioner we regret the incident at Nagarathpet testing booth. There's no question of forceful testing. India Reports New 2,57,299 Covid-19 Cases In Past 24 Hours In The Country

Latest reports have been coming in from Ministry of Health and Family welfare which has reported the latest cases of covid-19. As per reports coming in India has  reported a total number of 2,57,299 new COVID19 cases. As per sources 3,57,630 Covid 19 cases have been discharged and 4,194 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hrs as per Health Ministry. As per reports till now a total number of 2,62,89,290 cases have been reported in the country so far.  With these the total discharges in the country is 2,30,70,365.  The total death toll till now with this disease is 2,95,525.  And total active cases which is reported so far is 29,23,400. The total number of vaccination done is 19,33,72,819.  Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has shared the data of total samples collected so far.   As per reports 32,64,84,155 samples tested for COVID19 up to 21st May 2021. Of these, 20,66,285 samples were tested yesterday.

Punjab Government To Be Providing Social Security Pension

According to latest reports coming from Punjab CMO which has shared that the beginning July 1, 2021, the Punjab government will provide Rs 1500 per month as social security pension. This social security pension will be provided along with free education up to graduation for all those children orphaned in the COVID19 pandemic, as well as families that have lost their breadwinning member as per Punjab CMO. According to Chief Minister of Punjab affected persons would also be eligible for grant of Rs 51000 under Ashirwaad Scheme w.e.f. 1st July. According to sources they would be entitled to free ration under State Smart Ration Card Scheme and coverage under Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana.  As per reports measures will be provided to orphans till age of 21 according to Punjab CMO.

According to reports coming in from Ministry of External Affairs where Arindam Bagchi has said that a large number of countries have expressed solidarity with and support to India, in our fight against 2nd wave of COVID19.  Many of these countries, numbering over 40, have supplied COVID-related equipment & material to us through the Indian Red Cross Society as per  Arindam Bagchi, MEA. According to Arindam Bagchi we are closely following development on the Israel-Palestine issue.  We also expect to make a statement in UNGA when the issue comes up again according to MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi. Indian Metrological Department Predicts Advance of Southwest Monsoon Soon

Latest reports have been coming in from Indian Meteorological Department which has stated that southwest Monsoon is likely to advance soon. As per Indian Meteorological Department Southwest monsoon is likely to advance into South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal around May 21.  According to IMD a cyclonic circulation lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level. As per sources low pressure area is very likely to form over north Andaman Sea and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal around 22nd May.  It is very likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm during the subsequent 72 hours. It is very likely to reach West Bengal – Odisha coasts around 26 May as per reports coming in from Indian Metrological Department.

As per reports this decision of Government of Maharashtra has been taken as this police officers fail to perform their duties in stopping a funeral procession of a criminal which was attended by hundreds of people. Pune City Police has transferred 3 police officers including two police inspectors and a police sub inspector for failing to act on funeral procession of a criminal that was attended by over 150 to 200 people on 15th May. 106 people arrested in the case till now. Latest reports have been coming in from Ministry of Health and Family welfare where Dr V K Paul has said that the scientists will examine the drug in COVID-19 National Task Force for adding it to the treatment protocol.  Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has granted permission for emergency use as per reports by Dr. VK Paul, Member-Health, Niti Aayog on 'anti-COVID drug 2DG' developed by DRDO  Dr. VK Paul, Member-Health, Niti Aayog further added that the  COVAXIN has been approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), for Phase II/III clinical trials in the age group of 2 to 18 years.  I have been told that trials will begin in the next 10-12 days as per Dr. VK Paul, Member-Health, Niti Aayog.

72 Lakh Ration Card Holders Get Free Ration Every Month: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal

Latest reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a press conference has said that there are 72 lakh ration card holders in Delhi. According to Chief Minister they're given 5 kg ration by the government every month. This month, ration will be given free of cost.  Besides this, additional 5 kg free ration is being given by the Central Govt. So they're being given 10 kg free ration this month as per Delhi CM. According to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal those who do not have ration card but are poor will also be given ration by Delhi Govt.  They need not produce their income certificate, they just need to tell us that they are poor and they want ration.

500 Beds Hospital Prepared In Haldwani And Rishikesh

As per reports coming in from DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy while speaking to ANI has said that we are also making 500-bed hospitals each in Haldwani and Rishikesh.  In Jammu and Srinagar 500-bed hospitals each. Also, in Gandhinagar we're making one more hospital. We're also in work to make a hospital in Guwahati.  According to sources recently the PM CARES has increased the number of oxygen plants to 849 instead of 500. According to DRDO chairman G Satheesh Reddy has said that we are working with our industry partners to deliver all plants to various hospitals by the end of July.

Remsidiver Production Capacity Increased: Ministry Of Chemical And Fertilizer

Latest reports have been coming in from Ministry of chemical and fertilizer which has stated that the Ministry has increased the production capacity of Remdesivir the drug which has been used to treat critical Covid patients. As per reports coming in from Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers which has stated that production capacity of Remdesivir has increased from 38 lakh vials per month to nearly 119 lakh vials per month.  The number of approved manufacturing sites of Remdesivir in country has increased from 22 sites to 60 sites as per Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers. According to Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers on 16th May, 76 lakh vials of Remdesivir in total have been allocated among States for period up to 23rd May, 2021.
