In the Asian Games-2023 hockey competition, India has made it to the semi-finals by defeating Pakistan by a record margin of 10-2.   Indian men's hockey team will next face off against Bangladesh on Monday October 2.   For India, Mandeep Singh scored the first goal in the eighth minute of the first quarter of the match.   Mumbai: The last date to exchange Rs 2,000 notes at banks has been extended till October 7, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in a statement today. The RBI said the Rs 2,000 note will remain valid even after the deadline to exchange ends. The previous deadline was today. Banks will stop accepting Rs 2,000 notes for exchange from October 8. However, people can till exchange Rs 2,000 notes at 19 offices of the RBI. The notes can also be sent by post to the RBI's "issue offices" by India Post.   14,000 crore worth of Rs 2,000 notes still in circulation   The RBI said it has received Rs 3.42 lakh crore worth of Rs 2,000 notes from a total of Rs 3.56 lakh crore in circulation as on May 19. This has left only Rs 0.14 lakh crore or 14,000 crore worth of Rs 2,000 notes in circulation till September 29.    

Bhopal: The Indian Air Force displayed its might on Saturday in the blue sky of the capital Bhopal. IAF pilots displayed their bravery and courage with fighter planes. Paris: The International Olympic Committee has said that there will be no ban on wearing hijab in the Olympic Village during Paris Olympic Games-2024. Next year the Olympic Games will be held in France and hijab is banned for the players there. France's Sports Minister Emilie Ode-Castera has said that hijab has been banned in her country out of respect for the principles of secularism. New Delhi: Afghanistan's Embassy in India has reportedly written a letter to the Indian government saying it is going to close its operations. India says that this is an internal matter of the Taliban government and India cannot do anything regarding the appointment. Bhopal: The Indian Air Force (IAF) will showcase the country's air prowess in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh on 30 September.     The IAF is celebrating its 91st anniversary with band performances and an air show in Bhopal. The air show will feature around 60-70 fighter planes demonstrating their strength. There were 3 blasts at 2 places in Pakistan on Friday. The first blast took place near a mosque in Balochistan. This was a suicide attack. In this, 55 people including a DSP died, while 50 people were injured. At the time of the attack, people were gathering for the procession of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. Four people died and many others were injured in two other attacks. The second and third blasts took place at a mosque and a police station in Hangu town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
