LUDHIANA  (PUNJAB): At least nine people died, including children, due to gas leak in Ludhiana, Punjab on Sunday. The accident took place at 7:15 am in a building located in Gyaraspura.  Ludhiana's SDM Swati said that many people fainted after the gas leak. Thane (Maharashtra): Three people died and 10 people were rescued from the debris after a multi-storey building collapsed in Thane's Bhiwandi area on Saturday afternoon. Many people are still trapped. Police are present on the spot along with the fire brigade and disaster management team. Avinash Sawant, head of the regional disaster management cell, said several people were feared trapped under the debris. The ground plus two-storey building in Wardhaman compound collapsed at around 1.45 pm on Saturday, he said.  A family of four lived on the upper floor, while laborers worked on the ground floor. He said fire tenders from Bhiwandi, Thane and other nearby areas have been deployed for the search and rescue operation. New Delhi: Delhi Police will today file a case against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on allegations of sexual harassment. Kolkata: Private buses remained off the roads and shops and markets remained closed in many areas of North-West Bengal due to the 12-hour bandh called by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
