The budget session of Parliament will begin from January 31. Prior to the budget session, President Droupadi Murmu will address the joint session of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Wooden scaffolding collapses during Jain community religious ceremony in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh; 7 die, 80 injured

A major accident took place on Tuesday morning in Baraut town of Baghpat town in Bagpat district of UP. On the occasion of Nirvana Laddu festival of Lord Adinath, the wooden scaffolding collapsed in the Mana Stambh complex. Seven devotees died after being buried under the collapsed stairs.  The dead include 5 people including 2 women while more than 80 devotees were injured. There is a lot of uproar against the postmortem of the bodies of the dead. Community members and and families do not want postmortem. DM, SP were surrounded.
