The protest against CAA and NRC has taken a violent turn in West Bengal.Violence erupted after clashes between Trinamool Congress leaders and locals on Wednesday in Jalangi area of ​​Murshidabad. 14 convicts in the 2002 Gujrat riot case, have been granted bail by the Supreme Court today. The Court asked them to work for social cause.A Bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde grants bail to the convicts in the Sardarpur village case. More than 1000 people were killed in the riots in 2002,in which majority of them belonged to minority groups.State's Home Minister Pradeep Jadega presented commission's report of more than 1500 pages in the State House saying,there is no proof that any minister of the state was involved in provoking people for the riots.

A University of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir ie PoK has issued notice for the female students who study there. The order issued says,no female student is allowed to wear lipstick inside the college campus and whoever tried to do so, will have to pay a fine. Every time  a girl will come to the college campus applying lipstick, she will have to pay 100 rupees as penalty. Delhi's famous Nirbhaya gang rape and murder convicts are implementing new tactics every time to avoid hanging.  Recently President has rejected the mercy petition of Nirbhaya convict Mukesh Singh.  Mukesh has challenged the petition dismissed in the Supreme Court.   The Supreme Court Justice R Bhanumathi and his bench will hear the petition at 12 noon today.  Earlier, a bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde had said that if the culprits are to be hanged on February 1, then the petition needs to be heard immediately.  The mercy petition of convict Mukesh Singh was rejected by President Ram Nath Kovind on January 17, after which he has challenged the rejected petition in the Supreme Court.   On Saturday, Mukesh Singh filed a petition demanding that the death sentence be commuted to life imprisonment. Chairperson and Director of Punjab Kashmir Finance Company Rajmohini Sondhi has passed away.  She died at the age of 87.  Her last rites will be performed in Kishanpura at 5 pm today.   Rajmohini handled the entire work of the company's office.  She was also associated with Arya Samaj based in Model Town.  Rajmohini Sondhi was a resident of Dehradun, her husband Balbir Raj Sondhi died in 1933.  After which she took care of the whole family.

Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Zoroastrian religions have to submit and prove through documents, that they have arrived in India on or before 31 December 2014. The government official said that any person who wants citizenship of India under CAA will have to give proof of his religious affiliation and fulfill all the conditions issued under CAA. Under the Citizenship Amendment Act, a provision has been made to grant citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan on or before 31 December 2014.
